One of the small fret marker dots is missing, which could easily be replaced and does not affect the playability(purely cosmetic and can be seen in pic#4) A working but scratchy vintage cord, possibly original is also included as well as a modern"Lap Dawg" steel. One of the plastic tuner tip buttons(pic#7) has been replaced, but the metal tuner mechanism is all original.

It has hollow cavities covered by 5 decorative plates. The body is molded black bakelite and extremely heavy. The pickup is hot and sounds terrific through a tube amp. This B-6 features the 1 1/4" horseshoe magnet pickup and strings loading at the tailpiece. Many players consider these lap steels the finest ever produced. These instruments were the standard of their day and are still generally considered the finest sounding lap steel ever made. Note- AFTER I took pix I hit the metal parts with a little polish and almost all the clouding you may see disappeared. Comes with the original B&W hardshell case. This is a real beaut- as clean as I've had- the board is chip-free, the acetate MOTS is perfect- even the fuzz on the back is nice. You see many more Supro and Airline branded Valco products than National- as well- by this date they were within a year or so of going out of business and not selling much of anything. Of course it features the highly-regarded string-through pickup. This is a really clean and cool National lap steel- I believe it's a Chicagoan model- the tuners are keystone-style dual-line Klusons.
